Watch Spain’s best bull leapers (Recortadores) showcase incredible courage, speed and athletic skill as they dodge charging bulls with breathtaking jumps, spins and acrobatic moves.

No capes. No weapons. Just the athlete and the bull.

This spectacular evening officially opens the 2026 Málaga Bullfighting Fair, celebrating the 150th Anniversary of La Malagueta Bullring (1876–2026).

What is a Bull Leaping Competition?

Bull Leaping (Recortes) is a traditional Spanish spectacle in which highly trained athletes perform daring manoeuvres in front of charging bulls.

Unlike a traditional bullfight:

• No swords are used.
• No capes are used during the competition.
• The objective is to avoid the bull using agility, timing and technique.
• Competitors are judged on style, difficulty, precision and bravery.
