La Malagueta will host the traditional celebration on Saturday, April 4.<\/h1>\n

The <\/span>Corrida Picassiana<\/strong> <\/span>will return to <\/span>Malaga<\/strong> <\/span>the <\/span>next April 4th<\/strong> <\/span>in the <\/span>Plaza de Toros de La Malagueta<\/strong>, in one of the most anticipated events of the bullfighting season. This unique event combines <\/span>bullfighting, art and culture<\/strong>, paying tribute to <\/span>Pablo Picasso<\/strong>, universal figure and cultural reference of the city.<\/p>\n

The Corrida Picassiana has established itself as a unique event in the national bullfighting calendar, thanks to its careful staging inspired by the creative universe of the Malaga artist, turning the evening into an unrepeatable artistic and cultural experience.<\/p>\n

The <\/span>advertising poster<\/strong> <\/span>of this year’s Corrida Picassiana will be a work by the artist <\/span>Jacob Vilat\u00f3<\/strong>, great-nephew of Picasso and one of the most prominent figures of contemporary art linked to his legacy.<\/p>\n

The choice of Vilat\u00f3 reinforces the artistic character of the event and establishes a bridge between the bullfighting tradition and contemporary plastic creation, providing a personal and current vision that dialogues with the spirit of Picasso.<\/p>\n

Opening of the 150th anniversary of La Malagueta<\/h3>\n

The Picassian Bullfight del <\/span>April 4<\/strong> <\/span>will also have a historical significance, since <\/span>will officially open in 2026 the commemorative events of the 150th anniversary of La Malagueta Bullring<\/strong>, one of the most emblematic bullrings in Spain.<\/p>\n

This celebration will be the starting point of a very special year for Malaga, in which the following will be held <\/span>150 years of history, tradition and bullfighting culture<\/strong>, consolidating La Malagueta as a key space in the cultural life of the city. In fact, the Bullring and its pioneering Immersive Museum can now be visited every day from 10am to 5pm.<\/p>\n
