Tradition and modernity: bullfighters Juan Ortega and Roca Rey tour the CEIT of Malaga<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Last Thursday, March 27th<\/strong>, 2025<\/strong>, the bullring of La Malagueta in Malaga, Spain,<\/strong> was the scene of an outstanding event in the bullfighting and cultural field<\/strong>. The renowned matadors Juan Ortega and Roca Rey visited the Centro de <\/strong>Experiencias Inmersivas de la Tauromaquia (CEIT)<\/strong>, a immersive space dedicated to the dissemination and preservation of the rich bullfighting tradition of the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

During their visit, the bullfighters toured the CEIT facilities, where they were able to see interactive exhibits and multimedia content that narrate the history and evolution of bullfighting in Malaga and Spain.<\/strong> This initiative is part of the commemorative activities for the 150th anniversary of La Malagueta, an event that will be celebrated in 2026 and that has already begun to be honored with various cultural and bullfighting events.<\/p>\n

This celebration will feature the participation of Juan Ortega and Roca Rey, as well as the bullfighter Sa\u00fal Jim\u00e9nez Fortes from M\u00e1laga. The three will fight bulls from the \u00c1lvaro N\u00fa\u00f1ez ranch in a bullfight that promises to be memorable. The bullring will have a special decoration inspired by the different periods of <\/span>Pablo Picasso, work of the painter Pablo Alonso Herr\u00e1iz,<\/strong> who also designed the official poster for the event. This scenography will include elements that recall the origins of La Malagueta, such as the stripes of the bullring painted red and the ornamentation of the boxes with garlands, flags and manila shawls. <\/span><\/p>\n
